The light leaking from the crack beckons you over.
This track was probably the hardest one to make, even though it's the shortest song here. I had no vision for it at first, but as I worked on it, it quickly became a plunderphonics EDM track. This even caught me off guard and I didn't really know where to go with the track. No matter what I added, I'd quickly remove it because it didn't sound good. So while I made the rest of the album, I only made small touches to this track. It was the the last song that I finished for the album and I think it turned out fine although I will admit, it has more potential. Maybe it might get remixed by a more experienced artist? Who knows
This song has 4 distinct sections. It begins with a heavily reverbified (if that's even a word) sample of Temporary from Homestuck Vol. 8. The section with the build up uses heavily edited versions Section IIIA from Music For 18 Musicians by Steve Reich and Flying in the Flow of Deep-Sea by Camellia for some beautiful tension. The hard driving beat is from the beginning of The Tingler (Remix) by Smart Systems. The ethereal ending sections was created using all of the above samples plus the ending part of Disappear Here by Hybrid.
It was hard coming up with the name for this one. For a long time, I just referred to it as Danc1, because it was my first proper dance track. Once I finished it, though, I finally settled on Fissure because it reminded me of the Myst games.
